Overview
The Planning, Monitoring and Reporting Officer (UNICEF Accelerate) will support strengthening results-based management by assisting with UNICEF planning and monitoring systems, improving data quality, and supporting reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support programme sections in the preparation, consolidation and quality assurance of annual workplans.
- Support the implementation and use of UNICEF planning platforms.
- Contribute to alignment of UNICEF plans with UN system processes.
- Support programme sections to track progress against indicators.
- Assist in consolidation and analysis of programme data.
- Maintain and organise data systems and document repositories.
- Support preparation of internal and external reports.
- Support implementation of field monitoring activities.
- Contribute to strengthening monitoring systems aligned with HACT.
- Assist in tracking follow-up actions from monitoring visits and assurance activities.
- Support the organisation and coordination of mid-year, annual and other programme reviews.
- Monitor follow-up actions from programme reviews and management decisions.
- Provide analytical inputs to support Office performance monitoring and management decision-making.
- Support the preparation and implementation of the Integrated Monitoring and Evaluation Plan (IMEP).
- Assist in coordination of evaluation processes.
- Support dissemination of evaluation findings and tracking of management responses.
- Support development and maintenance of databases on key programme indicators and national statistics.
- Contribute to strengthening data analysis and visualisation.
- Provide support to build capacity of staff and partners on planning, monitoring, reporting tools and systems.
- Support coordination with government counterparts, UN agencies and partners on planning, monitoring and reporting processes.
- Contribute to inter-agency discussions and coordination related to monitoring, evaluation and reporting frameworks.
Required Experience
- At least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in planning, monitoring, evaluation, data management, or related areas in development programmes.
- Experience in programme planning, monitoring and reporting in a development or humanitarian context
- Strong analytical skills, including experience working with data, indicators, and reporting systems
- Familiarity with UNICEF or UN systems such as RAM, eTools, or similar results-based management platforms
- Experience supporting HACT processes, programme monitoring, or partner assurance activities
- Experience in evaluation processes and/or knowledge management
- Experience working in small island or developing country contexts
Qualifications
Master's degree in social sciences, economics, statistics, development studies, or a related field.
