Overview
The Education Officer – Curriculum and Teacher Development will support the planning, implementation, coordination, and monitoring of curriculum implementation and teacher development portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the preparation and updating of situation analysis for education programmes.
- Provide technical and administrative support throughout programming processes.
- Work closely with colleagues and partners to collect, analyze, and share information on implementation issues.
- Undertake field visits and surveys to assess progress.
- Build and sustain effective partnerships with government counterparts and national stakeholders.
- Support the planning, design, quality assurance, and monitoring of teacher professional development.
- Facilitate coordination among relevant education divisions and partners.
- Support the planning, coordination, and monitoring of textbook and teacher-resource distribution.
- Maintain implementation and results-monitoring systems for portfolios.
Required Experience
3 years of professional experience in education programme planning, implementation, monitoring or research, preferably including one or more of the following areas: curriculum implementation, teacher development, foundational literacy and numeracy, or education-system strengthening. Experience in a developing country is considered an asset.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, sociology, or another relevant technical field. An advanced university degree is an asset.
