Overview

This role supports policy and programme initiatives within the Integrated Support for Advancing Reforms and Democratic Governance in Bangladesh (IP-SARG) project, focusing on justice sector engagements and digital transformation.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide policy and programme support to IP-SARG’s engagement with the Attorney General’s Office (AGO), Office of the Chief Justice, Supreme Court of Bangladesh, and Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs (MoLJPA).
  • Support court digitization and justice innovation initiatives, particularly AI-enabled court transcription.
  • Conduct targeted policy research and comparative analysis on justice sector reform, court administration, commercial court operationalisation, digital transformation, institutional strengthening and other priorities.
  • Coordinate day-to-day with government counterparts, implementing partners, technical experts and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain systematic results tracking and documentation.
  • Prepare donor and corporate reports, policy briefs, briefing notes, presentations, talking points, success stories and other strategic communication and knowledge products.
  • Support communication and visibility of IP-SARG’s governance and justice interventions.
  • Perform other related duties as required by the supervisor.
Required Experience

At least seven years of relevant professional experience, including a minimum of three years of substantive experience in policy research, governance or justice sector programming, development project implementation, donor reporting, stakeholder management, strategic communication, or related areas. Demonstrated experience in policy research and analysis. Proven experience in stakeholder coordination and institutional engagement. Demonstrated experience in programme implementation, results tracking and reporting. Good understanding of Bangladesh’s governance and justice sector.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Law; public policy or public administration; political science; international relations; development studies; communication, media or journalism; or a related field.
