Overview
The UN Volunteer Team Assistant will provide administrative, programme coordination, and operational support to facilitate the effective implementation of programme activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative, programme coordination and operational support.
- Support planning, implementation and monitoring of programme workplans.
- Contribute to monitoring and evaluation (M&E).
- Conduct background research and compile information.
- Maintain programme documentation, electronic filing systems, databases and contact lists.
- Coordinate the organization of meetings, workshops, and other programme events.
- Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, summaries and action points.
- Assist in expanding and maintaining the programme's network of experts.
- Monitor developments in Syria and the wider region.
- Support the preparation of communication materials and outreach products.
- Provide administrative support related to travel, procurement, and consultant recruitment.
- Perform other related duties assigned by the Programme Manager.
Required Experience
3 years of experience in the related area is desirable. Prior UN experience or prior knowledge of the host entity’s internal systems is an asset.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in political science, law, social sciences, international relation, development management or any other closely related field is required.
