Overview
This internship supports the provision of ICT solutions and services in the country office, including end-user support, to maintain the efficiency and effectiveness of IT networks and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide end user support and address ICT support incidents and requests within SLAs.
- Provide first-line support to corporate applications and in-house developed software.
- Install and relocate hardware, coordinate equipment servicing, and manage user accounts.
- Assist in responding to information security incidents, mitigate IT risks, and escalate complex issues.
- Assist in updating operating systems and software patches/firmware.
- Support in maintaining inventory of ICT software licenses and equipment.
- Assist in implementing IOM ICT Standards and Policies.
- Collect and organize information from academic and governmental sources dealing with migration.
- Describe national, regional, and international recommendations and strategies related to migration management.
- Relate migration issues to existing strategies and IOM programming.
- Assist in developing conclusions and action plans for further investigation.
- Assist in implementing IOM migration programmes.
- Prepare administrative reports and programme updates.
Required Experience
Less than two years of relevant working experience.
Qualifications
University degree / (High school or diploma) in computer science or a combination of relevant education.
