Overview
The MEAL Expert will support the integration of MEAL systems in international programmes, focusing on impact measurement, management, and cross-learning to align with strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support MEAL component design and resourcing in proposals, including evidence-based integration and indicator identification
- Define MEAL plans, monitoring mechanisms, data collection tools, and accountability mechanisms
- Promote digital technologies and innovative solutions in MEAL
- Provide technical support to Country Offices on MEAL implementation, including PIRS, data collection, and reporting
- Review project baseline and evaluation studies, ensuring quality and rigour
- Support learning agendas and knowledge sharing activities
- Contribute to strengthening MEAL capacity through missions, remote support, and training
- Promote adherence to SCI MEAL procedures and standards
- Provide technical review of donor reports
- Develop evidence briefs, programme cards, and presentations
- Organize webinars and meetings to share evidence and learning
- Identify and promote learning and transferability of approaches across programmes
- Analyze MEAL performance KPIs and contribute to strategy KPI reporting
- Generate evidence on innovative approaches.
