Overview

The Construction Engineer will monitor all construction activities and provide technical support for managing construction and rehabilitation projects.


Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare construction annual workplans.
  • Provide technical support for construction project management and assist in proposal development.
  • Draft scope of construction works and verify technical documents.
  • Assist in procurement processes for construction activities.
  • Monitor construction projects through site visits and technical meetings.
  • Certify payments and compile project documents.
Required Experience
  • At least three (3) years of professional work experience at the national and/or international level in project monitoring, site supervision, quality assurance or other directly related technical fields.
  • Experience with Education, WASH, Health or Nutrition programmes is an asset.
  • Experience working in the UN or other international development organization is an asset.
  • Professional experience in developing countries, particularly the Côte d’Ivoire is required.
  • Experience in construction including innovative materials is highly desired.
Qualifications

Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Public Works Engineering or a related technical field is required.

Remuneration
The applicable Volunteer Living Allowance is provided monthly to cover housing, utilities and normal cost of living expenses. Life, health and permanent disability insurance are included.
