Overview
The Construction Engineer will monitor all construction activities and provide technical support for managing construction and rehabilitation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare construction annual workplans.
- Provide technical support for construction project management and assist in proposal development.
- Draft scope of construction works and verify technical documents.
- Assist in procurement processes for construction activities.
- Monitor construction projects through site visits and technical meetings.
- Certify payments and compile project documents.
Required Experience
- At least three (3) years of professional work experience at the national and/or international level in project monitoring, site supervision, quality assurance or other directly related technical fields.
- Experience with Education, WASH, Health or Nutrition programmes is an asset.
- Experience working in the UN or other international development organization is an asset.
- Professional experience in developing countries, particularly the Côte d’Ivoire is required.
- Experience in construction including innovative materials is highly desired.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Public Works Engineering or a related technical field is required.
