Overview
Spearhead the modernization of ICRC’s audio-visual archives, transitioning to a dynamic, AI-integrated Digital Asset Management (DAM) ecosystem as part of a larger Digital Archive.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement the roadmap for audiovisual legacy formats and migrating digital assets into a centralized long-term preservation (LTP) system.
- Analyze and optimize end-to-end multimedia workflows.
- Apply Business Process Analysis to identify inefficiencies and automate manual tasks.
- Implement and enforce file naming conventions and archival standards.
- Contribute to the integration of Artificial Intelligence services into the archival workflow.
- Establish and manage quality control processes for AI-generated metadata.
- Apply the ICRC Ontology and enable feeding AV-metadata into the Knowledge Graph.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of AV-metadata.
- Perform technical quality control on incoming media assets.
- Execute basic video editing tasks.
- Act as super-user for audios, videos, and photos arriving at the LTP.
- Serve as a diplomat between technical teams, creative teams, and archivists.
- Translate technical AV-archival requirements into production-friendly workflows.
- Prepare workshops to train and inform internal stakeholders.
Required Experience
- 3-5 years of professional experience in a media or broadcast environment, image agency, post-production facility, or digital archive or library.
- Proven track record in working with at least one MAM/DAM system.
- Demonstrated experience implementing or managing AI/ML workflows for media (transcription, auto-tagging) is strongly preferred.
- Experience of agile working (SCRUM) is an asset.
- Experience with Metadata Standards (DublinCore, PREMIS, RiC-CM) and using taxonomies and ontologies is a clear advantage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master's degree in Computer Science, or Business Informatics, or Information Management, or Media Technology, or a related field.
- Certifications in Digital Asset Management (DAM) or Project Management (PMP, Agile/Scrum) are highly advantageous.
- Proven knowledge in data protection and copyright.
