Overview

Develops and implements procurement strategies for assigned product categories, ensuring efficient procurement in compliance with quality and regulatory standards. Oversees the operational procure-to-pay process.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develops, reviews, and implements procurement strategies for assigned categories.
  • Defines and coordinates sourcing strategies.
  • Conducts market analysis and defines specifications.
  • Oversees international tendering and negotiates global contracts.
  • Optimizes the supplier panel and evaluates international suppliers.
  • Implements supplier relationship management (SRM) strategies.
  • Supervises global procure-to-pay (P2P) processes.
  • Ensures audit readiness of procurement files.
  • Establishes best practices for ERP data management.
  • Performs category analysis with a focus on sustainability and total cost of ownership.
  • Leads portfolio standardization efforts.
  • Ensures adherence to procurement policies and procedures.
  • Provides technical support and manages medical equipment procurement projects.
  • Coaches and trains Buyers and Category Buyers.
Required Experience
  • 8-10 years’ professional experience, including 5 years in procurement and/or supply chain (category management, SRM, contract management, order management).
  • Proficient in the strategic sourcing process and enterprise resource planning systems.
  • Experience working on cross-cutting / cross-functional projects.
  • Technical background and knowledge of Biomedical equipment is a strong asset.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in international procurement or logistic is mandatory.
  • Engineering degree in Biomedical equipment is a strong asset.

Verbal and written fluency in English in mandatory.
Languages Preferred
Verbal and written fluency in French is a strong asset.
