Overview

Oversee and coordinate the implementation of specialized law enforcement activities in predefined environmental crime areas.


Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the implementation of specialized law enforcement activities based on an approved annual work plan.
  • Define activities within projects that need to take place/workplans for their respective thematic areas.
  • Identify obstacles in the implementation of law enforcement activities and propose solutions.
  • Assist in defining strategies and responsibilities in delivering subject-matter expertise and managing a team of experts.
  • Provide specialized law enforcement advice to hierarchy and contribute to documents related to specialized law enforcement activities.
  • Manage an operational team, or cross-supervise people to implement specialized law enforcement activities.
  • Represent the Organization on external conferences and events related to specialized crime areas.
Required Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in the field of law enforcement.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience at middle management level responsible for the coordination of law enforcement operations including the supervision of law enforcement officers.
  • Proven work experience on organized crime and/or environmental crime cases would be an asset.
Qualifications

• Three-to-four years’ education at a University or other specialized higher education establishment, such as Police Universities/Academies, is required.

• Excellent Command of English (written and oral) as working language.
Languages Preferred
• Knowledge of another of the Organization's official languages (French, Spanish or Arabic) would be an asset.
