Overview
Provides legal advice on the review and publication of Notices and Diffusions within the Notice & Diffusion Task Force. Conducts legal research and drafts legal documents.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research on review and publication of Notices and Diffusions
- Draft and review legal documents including memoranda, guidelines, SOPs, policy papers, reports, and resolutions
- Draft and review communications with member countries
- Prepare background materials for meetings with member countries
- Participate in meetings with member countries
- Prepare training materials and provide legal training
- Contribute to and participate in internal and external meetings
- Represent the Organization in international conferences
- Perform other duties as required
Required Experience
At least three years of working experience as a lawyer, preferably in international law. Sound knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of international law, preferably in relation to international cooperation in criminal matters, international criminal law, and international human rights law.
Qualifications
Three to four years’ completed University Degree in Law, preferably in international law. An advanced degree in public international law or international criminal law would be an asset.
