Overview
The Associate Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, optimizing, and maintaining enterprise virtualization and cloud-integrated compute platforms to ensure secure, resilient, and scalable infrastructure services.
Key Responsibilities
- Engineer, optimize, and support Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments.
- Build, maintain, and version golden images.
- Engineer, maintain, and upgrade Citrix Delivery Controllers, Provisioning Servers, Cloud Connectors, StoreFront, Director, License Servers, and Workspace app integrations.
- Coordinate large-scale platform updates, technology refresh cycles, DR enhancements, and architecture improvements.
- Engineer and administer cloud-based virtual desktop solutions, including Windows 365 Cloud PCs and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
- Manage configuration, lifecycle, policy enforcement, and performance monitoring of Windows 365 cloud devices and AVD workloads.
- Integrate Citrix DaaS with Azure cloud environments.
- Drive engineering initiatives for Azure cloud adoption.
- Serve as Tier 3 engineering escalation for Citrix, Windows, Azure, and cloud-hosted virtual desktop issues.
- Maintain end-to-end vulnerability management for Citrix infrastructure, Azure workloads, and Windows 365 devices.
- Implement security hardening, patching, firmware updates, and continuous compliance monitoring.
- Participate in and support Incident, Problem, and Change Management activities.
- Contribute to annual disaster recovery planning, tests, and runbook updates.
- Ensure engineering and operational activities follow WBG standards, policies, and governance requirements.
- Ensure monthly Microsoft Security Update compliance for TRE VDIs and PCs.
- Support TRE VDI availability by maintaining regular weekend reboot schedules.
- Oversee TRE application lifecycle management.
- Support onboarding of new TRE team members.
- Apply Agile and SAFe principles to support effective service delivery outcomes.
- Engage with cross-functional teams across ITS.
- Participate in Engineering Challenge Review forums.
- Provide technical guidance, KT sessions, and engineering leadership to support teams.
Required Experience
• Master's degree with 5 years of experience or a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
