Overview
The intern will support the Unit of Social Development (USD) workplan by assisting with the mapping of social policies, programmes and institutions, conducting research on social issues, and supporting regional social integration efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the mapping of social policies, programmes and institutions of the subregion.
- Providing support to ongoing Unit activities, assisting in the review and revision of ongoing documents, and conducting research on social issues in the subregion.
- Support efforts to strengthen regional social integration, monitoring subregional policies, actions, events and delivering inputs for subregional collaboration with entities such as SISCA.
- Providing administrative support to the Unit`s activities.
- Assisting with the coordination of meetings, workshops, and outreach activities.
- Delivering a final report with all materials and activities developed during the internship, including proof of completion.
Required Experience
Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience.
Qualifications
- be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);
- be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PH.D. Programme.
