Overview
Lead one of NORCAP’s forward-looking portfolios focused on climate action, peace, democracy, and human rights through strategic leadership, policy influence, and programme delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the section’s strategy, ensuring clear priorities and alignment with NORCAP’s overall direction.
- Provide inclusive people leadership to section staff, including goal-setting, performance management, and mentoring.
- Oversee programme and portfolio management across climate action, peace, democracy and human rights.
- Drive fundraising and donor relations for the section, securing annual budget targets.
- Strengthen collaboration across NORCAP and NRC for cross-team learning and joint programming.
- Lead strategic engagement with partners and stakeholders to promote improved aid practices and policy development.
- Manage budgets and resources responsibly, ensuring cost-efficient delivery.
Required Experience
- A minimum of five years of senior leadership experience in climate action, peace, democracy, or related international fields.
- Proven track record in programme and project management, organisational development, and strategic planning.
- Demonstrable results in fundraising, donor relations, and building strong external partnerships.
- Experience managing resources, budgets, and portfolios to achieve measurable outcomes.
- Experience in inclusive line management.
Qualifications
Higher education in a relevant field.
