Overview
The Engineering Analyst (Electricity/Gas) will provide technical support for the analysis of electricity/gas supply projects and energy infrastructure recovery within the Green Energy Recovery Programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments of damaged electricity/gas production facilities and supply systems.
- Review and analyze data on targeted energy infrastructure.
- Identify priorities for restoration and potential solutions, limitations, and risks.
- Provide technical support for document preparation, including specifications, drawings, and BoQs.
- Support procurement processes and serve on technical evaluation panels.
- Monitor project implementation stages and coordinate with partners.
- Document best practices and contribute to reporting and capacity building.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years (with master’s degree) or 4 years (with bachelor’s degree) of progressively responsible experience in engineering, energy systems, infrastructure development, or a related area is required.
- Skills in the development of technical documentation, including technical specifications and performance schedules of energy systems, including electricity/gas production and its supply, or relevant infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of procedures for quality control procedures.
- Experience in working with Government, international financial institutions, other development partners, including EU, shall be an asset.
- Familiarity with national construction legislation, norms, and standards related to energy infrastructure, including electricity/gas production facilities and its supply systems, and safety regulations is desirable.
- Experience of working with municipalities and/or local and central authorities in recovery or energy rehabilitation projects/activities, as well as with economic development issues at the national and sub-national levels is an advantage.
Qualifications
- Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in the field of Mechanical Engineering, Heat Supply, Energy Systems or other closely related fields; or
- A first university degree (Bachelor’s degree) in the above fields in combination of additional two years of qualifying relevant experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.
