Overview

The Project Assistant Junior – Social Integration will support community communication, community strengthening, and direct assistance activities, as well as data collection, analysis, and systematization. The role contributes to the implementation of strategies in support of communities assisted by IOM in Northern Brazil.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support community communication and awareness-raising campaigns.
  • Participate in needs assessments, focus group discussions, and community engagement processes.
  • Provide basic technical inputs to support IOM’s regional strategy for direct assistance.
  • Support WASH-related activities, including monitoring and reporting.
  • Contribute to food security and humanitarian assistance activities.
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders regarding project activities.
  • Support regular field data collection and contribute to data analysis.
  • Support the continuous monitoring of community-based activities.
  • Support the organization and logistics of meetings and field actions.
  • Maintain regular contact with community leaders and local focal points.
Required Experience
  • Minimum of four years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in liaising with Brazilian Government agencies, national/international institutions, United Nations Agencies, and non-governmental organizations.
  • Experience working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced people, victims of trafficking, and other vulnerable groups.
  • Knowledge of project monitoring and Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) methodologies.
  • Previous experience with non-governmental and/or international organizations is considered an asset.
Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in international relations, social sciences, political science, data management, business administration, law, or related fields.

Languages Required
Fluency in Portuguese and Spanish (both oral and written) is required.
Languages Preferred
Working knowledge of English is considered an advantage.
Contract Duration
Special Short term ungraded (Up to 9 months), Initial Contract Duration: 3 months
