Overview
The role involves routine production and dissemination of EU-SILC data, including poverty and social exclusion statistics, and supporting the EU-SILC production chains.
Key Responsibilities
- Routine production of EU-SILC data in the area of poverty, social exclusion, and their dissemination in Eurobase.
- Production of additional data for Statistics Explained, quality reports and variance estimation.
- Inclusion in the EU-SILC production chains of outcomes of the methodological development of (new) indicators on specific topics of political importance.
- Dissemination to researchers and continuous improvement of EU-SILC microdata (User Data base UDB).
- Drafting and maintenance of metadata describing EU-SILC.
- Processing of data requests from external users.
- Continuous improvement of the production and dissemination chains.
- Maintaining contacts with policy DGs and in particular DG EMPL on EU SILC indicators development.
- Documentation of all processes and code developed.
- Validate the production of EU-SILC data for a group of about 10-12 countries.
- Apply anonymisation rules and prepare the microdata file for researchers (UDB).
- Validate Research Project Proposals (RPP).
- Provide support to other activities of the team like indicators prototyping and production, ad hoc extractions from EU-SILC database, EUROMOD files preparation.
Required Experience
Appropriate professional experience of at least three years if secondary education diploma is held.
Qualifications
- A level of post-secondary education attested by a diploma OR
- A level of secondary education attested by a diploma giving access to post-secondary education.
