Overview

Support the implementation of project activities related to youth empowerment and climate resilience, assisting in planning, monitoring, and executing initiatives that build youth capacities as climate leaders, facilitate climate education, and foster sustainable practices.


Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to project planning and support, including designing and planning activities, developing work plans, and preparing concept notes.
  • Ensure implementation of youth empowerment initiatives by coordinating the Young Green Ambassadors Network and organizing related activities.
  • Ensure climate education integration by supporting curriculum development and piloting guidelines in extracurricular facilities.
  • Facilitate capacity building and green skills development by supporting vocational training programs and liaising with relevant agencies.
  • Conduct project monitoring, evaluation, and reporting, including field missions and data analysis.
  • Promote stakeholder engagement and coordination with local CSOs, government agencies, and educational institutions.
  • Ensure gender mainstreaming in the project.
Required Experience
  • Applicants with a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) are required to have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience in project management, with a focus on youth engagement, climate resilience, education, or community development.
  • Prior experience working with national government agencies, educational institutions, or international organizations is desired.
  • Proven experience in implementing Government -led country-level youth initiatives is desired.
  • Proven experience in working effectively with diverse stakeholders, including youth, educators, government officials, and community groups is desired.
  • Proven track record of experience in strong analytical, presentation and reporting is desired.
Qualifications
  • Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Environmental Studies, Climate Science, Education, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or related fields is required.
  • A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the areas mentioned above, in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.
