Overview
The Senior Technician (Cyber Security) is responsible for assisting with maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Agency systems and services, with a focus on cyber security awareness, compliance, accreditation support, and cyber incident response.
Key Responsibilities
- Serves as the primary point of contact for endpoint security management, firewall and network management monitoring solutions, and vulnerability scan operations.
- Supports cyber event investigations and events.
Required Experience
- 2 years post-related experience with Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline (IT/Cyber Security).
- 4 years post-related experience with a secondary educational qualification.
- Experience in supporting CIS for military exercises.
- Knowledge of policy, procedures, and organisation of NATO CIS.
- Knowledge of NATO networks.
- Knowledge of NATO Security policies and directives.
- Understanding of Cyberspace security challenges within NATO or a NATO member nation environment.
- Experience with Wireless LAN technologies and Endpoint Security of mobile devices such as Laptops, Apple iOS devices (tablets and smartphones).
- Knowledge and work experience with Operating Systems (e.g., Windows, Linux and macOS).
- McAfee Certified Product Specialist.
- Working knowledge of ITIL practices.
- Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements.
- Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization, including ACO and ACT.
Qualifications
- Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline (IT/Cyber Security).
- Secondary educational qualification.
- Security Professional certification (i.e. CEH, GIAC, ISC2, EC-Council, SANS, CCNA, CCNP Security, CCIE Security or other relevant certification).
- 0731- NATO COMPUSEC Practitioner Level 1.
- 0732- NATO COMPUSEC Practitioner Level 2.
- 0280 - NATO CIS Security Officer.
