Overview
Lead the direct implementation of Oxfam Food and Economic Security (FES) activities, including community mobilization, beneficiary registration, and infrastructure rehabilitation. The role involves coordinating staff and resources to ensure program delivery in line with Oxfam policy and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the direct implementation of Oxfam FES activities including community mobilisation, beneficiary registration and verification, and the rehabilitation of community infrastructure.
- Lead stakeholder and communities mapping exercises, and support needs assessment and technical studies for infrastructure-related activities to ensure context-driven program design and delivery
- Lead and coordinate Oxfam staff and resources across the FES projects and targeted locations to ensure that programs are implemented in line with Oxfam policy and agreed standards.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual plans for the project in collaboration with the project team
Provide regular technical support to the frontline field team and local partners in community mobilisation, beneficiary identification and verification, and monitoring and feedback and a compliant mechanism
- Conduct quarterly review meetings with the project team to discuss the progress and challenges and advise any adjustments required considering the changing context.
- Coordinate and support Project Support Committees to participate in decision-making and delivery processes along the value chain.
- Supervise and support FES Assistant, field support personnel and site engineers to better deliver on his/her role and responsibilities.
- Organize regular meetings with key stakeholders and key actors at the community level to provide updates and timely resolve issues.
- Other duties may be reasonably required in supporting the delivery of team objectives and outcomes and any other responsibilities assigned by the Team Leader
Required Experience
- Minimum Three Years of proven Experience in Implementing Food Security and Livelihoods Projects
- Proven Experience in Local or International NGOs.
- Experience in supporting community and food-security related infrastructure
- Experience in supporting farmers and agricultural communities through improved access to irrigation systems, agricultural inputs and sustainable farming practices.
- Experience in use of participatory approaches to undertake, assessment and analysis with community leaders, local authorities, private and market actors, and local partners.
- Demonstrated experience in project management cycle.
- Strong ability to work within team and consult with a wide range of staff colleagues.
- Experience in Working with Stakeholders, Community-Based Organizations, and Local Partners.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Economy, Civil Engineering or other relevant fields.
