Overview
The selected intern will support the Social and Behavior Change (SBC) team in generating Social and Community Listening Reports for disease outbreaks in the Latin America and Caribbean region, aiming to make health information accessible to vulnerable communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring online conversations and offline community feedback to identify themes, narratives, and rumors related to disease outbreaks.
- Support the collection, organization, and analysis of qualitative data on community beliefs, attitudes, and barriers to healthy behaviors.
- Contribute to drafting and visualizing Social and Community Listening Reports with key insights and recommendations.
- Help maintain a database of insights and trends for evidence-based health strategies.
Required Experience
- Experience or an academic background in qualitative or quantitative research, data analysis, or social media monitoring.
- Familiarity with public health emergencies and/or work experience in a developing country is considered a strong asset.
Qualifications
Current enrollment in a degree program (or a recent graduate within the last two years) in Public Health, Social Sciences (e.g., Anthropology, Sociology), Communications, International Development, or another relevant field.
