Overview
Provide coordination and administrative support for the implementation of climate change and health project activities in Tuvalu.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a detailed country-level project workplan.
- Review and update the project workplan quarterly.
- Identify emerging project risks and prepare risk update briefs.
- Provide inputs for quarterly progress reports and annual project reports.
- Coordinate the Tuvalu PMU by attending meetings, documenting minutes, and maintaining communication.
- Support the operation of the national climate change and health technical advisory group.
- Accelerate the implementation of specific project activities.
- Lead Tuvalu specific financial management and procurement tasks.
- Draft procurement documents and facilitate the procurement process.
- Lead the implementation of country-level Social and Environmental Safeguards (SES) risk management plans.
- Implement a Stakeholder Engagement Plan, including a Grievance Redress Mechanism.
- Monitor and report on SES compliance.
- Work on the development and implementation of the Tuvalu country-specific Gender Action Plan.
- Support the planning and implementation of visibility and communication plans.
Required Experience
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience working in administration, project/programme management/coordination, undertaking administrative and managerial service position, in compliance with related rules and procedures.
- Experience in project management in the field of climate change, environmental health or public health is a plus factor.
- Experience working with governmental, nongovernmental and international organizations is a plus factor.
Qualifications
- A university degree (bachelor's) in finance, management, accountancy, economics, or business administration, or any other related field.
- An advanced degree (master's) in finance, management, accountancy, economics, or business administration, or any other related field is desirable.
- Training in business administration or programme management, environmental health, environmental sciences, and/or climate change is a plus factor.
