Overview
The Caseworker will assist in the consolidation and scale-up of the Migrant Resource and Response Centre (MRRC) operation in Kassala state, providing direct assistance to vulnerable migrants.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in consolidating and scaling up MRRC operations.
- Carry out interviews with vulnerable migrants and refer eligible beneficiaries.
- Follow up with MRRC beneficiaries and provided assistance.
- Assist with organizing awareness sessions.
- Assist with AVRR and VHR for stranded migrants.
- Assist in providing humanitarian assistance to migrants in administrative detention.
- Compile case reports and prepare statistical reports.
- Collect and record beneficiary data and manage case files.
- Identify, codify and share best practices and lessons learned.
- Participate in State Sub-Sector coordination meetings.
- Carry out administrative tasks of the MRRC.
- Undertake duty travels and field visits.
Required Experience
- High School diploma with four years of relevant experience; or, University degree with two years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in working directly with vulnerable groups, such as IDPs, migrants or victims of trafficking, preferably with UN agencies, other international organizations, international or local NGOs.
- Knowledge or practical experience with protection mechanisms, MHPSS support, social work and case management are a distinct advantage.
- Experience in community engagement activities.
- Knowledge of or experience in working on migration issues and/or with vulnerable migrants in Red Sea or States in Sudan is a distinct advantage.

- University degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or a related field from an accredited academic institution
