Overview
International Consultant to provide specialized technical expertise for a research study on the economic impact of migration in Albania, focusing on design, implementation, and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall technical leadership and methodological oversight for the study.
- Collaborate on the design, implementation, and analysis of the study.
- Contribute to the development of a methodologically sound, analytically rigorous, and policy relevant study.
- Provide technical guidance to the Local Consultant and ensure consistency across outputs.
- Deliver an Inception Report and Technical Methodology Note.
- Organize and conduct focus groups.
- Deliver an Interim Analytical Brief with preliminary findings.
- Deliver a Draft Study Report.
- Deliver a Final Study Report.
- Deliver Policy and Dissemination Inputs, including a policy brief and presentation materials.
Required Experience
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in data collection, economic research and analysis, migration research, or labour market studies.
- Professional or academic experience in combining qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Experience in migration, international development and research and analysis, with experience on Albania is highly desirable.
- Experience in writing and editing documents for IOM or other UN Organizations is an advantage.
Qualifications
• Advanced university degree (Master’s or PhD) in Economics, Migration Studies, Statistics, Social Policy, Development Studies, or related fields.
