Overview
Provide first-level IT support to staff at the Kirehe Field Office, Mahama, and Nyabiheke Camp. Ensure adherence to global IT standards and manage IT inventory.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for technical assistance via email, phone, or in person.
- Ensure global IT standards, policies, and procedures are adhered to.
- Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and access.
- Ensure regular servicing of ICT facilities and schedule routine maintenance.
- Report system failures and share user feedback.
- Manage the IT inventory for Kirehe Field Office, Mahama Camp, and Nyabiheke.
- Assist with setting up and monitoring Local Area Networks and WiFi Networks.
- Ensure cybersecurity best practices are adhered to.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Assist in the setup, configuration, and deployment of new workstations.
Required Experience
- 1-2 years in a technical support or IT help desk role.
- Strong understanding of Windows OS environment, ticket systems, cybersecurity best practices like MFA, Encryption and Microsoft 365, remote support.
- Comfort working with computer components, laptop repairs, and Network Cabling.
- Patience and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or Computer Science.
- Equivalent IT certifications is an added advantage.
