Overview

Provide first-level IT support to staff at the Kirehe Field Office, Mahama, and Nyabiheke Camp. Ensure adherence to global IT standards and manage IT inventory.


Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of contact for technical assistance via email, phone, or in person.
  • Ensure global IT standards, policies, and procedures are adhered to.
  • Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and access.
  • Ensure regular servicing of ICT facilities and schedule routine maintenance.
  • Report system failures and share user feedback.
  • Manage the IT inventory for Kirehe Field Office, Mahama Camp, and Nyabiheke.
  • Assist with setting up and monitoring Local Area Networks and WiFi Networks.
  • Ensure cybersecurity best practices are adhered to.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Assist in the setup, configuration, and deployment of new workstations.
Required Experience
  • 1-2 years in a technical support or IT help desk role.
  • Strong understanding of Windows OS environment, ticket systems, cybersecurity best practices like MFA, Encryption and Microsoft 365, remote support.
  • Comfort working with computer components, laptop repairs, and Network Cabling.
  • Patience and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or Computer Science.
  • Equivalent IT certifications is an added advantage.
