Nutrition Assistant/ Measurer

Overview

The Nutrition Assistant/Measurer supports the TSFP Nurse in the implementation of the Targeted Supplementary Feeding Programme (TSFP) for Moderate Acute Malnutrition (MAM) treatment. The role contributes to project delivery through community MUAC screening, beneficiary registration, and distribution support.

Key Responsibilities

• Community MUAC screening
• Beneficiary registration/ration card issuance
• Verification of entitlements
• Bi-weekly distribution support under supervision
• Defaulter tracing via home visits
• Accurate daily data recording for HMIS
• Immediate SAM referrals to OTP/SC per FMOH IMAM protocols

Required Experience

Minimum three years’ experience with INGO/NGO of Infant and young Child Feeding practices /treatment of malnourished children in nutrition program (TSFP) implementation – case definition and care, clinical management, TSFP management, data collection and compilation, working with counterpart for lasting intervention, training of health workers, etc

Qualifications

Diploma/BSc Nursing/Public Health; FMOH registration and from a recognized University/health college and related field.
