Overview
Support the development of Qatar-specific partner mappings and trend analysis, and contribute to the creation of presentations, infographics, and reports to strengthen UNDP's external position and engagement with partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development of Qatar-specific partner mappings and trend analysis.
- Model data for analysis and create visual representations of data.
- Conduct analysis of key developments in discussions with partners.
- Support the office in Doha in updating and following up on partnership engagement.
- Contribute to the creation of presentations, infographics, and reports to strengthen UNDP's external position and engagement with partners.
- Contribute to the development of guidance and partnership notes that summarize key aspects of UNDP’s work aligned with partner priorities.
- Support the Office in maintaining their inputs into UNDP’s Client Relationship Management system (UNITY) by coordinating with different UNDP country offices/programmes that engage with the Government of Qatar.
- Identify projects and programs funded by partners in Qatar.
- Support internal capacity building by developing donor profiles, guidance notes, and other online toolkits for resource mobilization and strategic engagement analysis.
- Support outreach and engagement with Qatari based partners on various initiatives, logistics and other administrative arrangements.
- Perform other related tasks/duties as required.
Required Experience
- Relevant national/international experience in international relations, diplomacy, multilateral cooperation and /or development framework;
- Experience in data analysis and visualization. Specialized courses or certifications in data analysis tools is an asset.
- Previous experience in advocacy, strategic communications, or partnership building in the development context, especially within the UN framework, is an asset.
- Knowledge of and experience with SDG-related initiatives, is desirable.
Qualifications
- Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);
- Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent);
- Have graduated with a university degree (as defined in (a) and (b) above) and, if selected, must start the internship within one-year of graduation;
- Be enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship program and undertake the internship as part of this program.
- Preferred fields of study include: International Relations or Development Studies; Political Science; Public Policy or Public Administration; Law; Business Administration. Economics, Finance or related field; Data Science or Statistics; Environmental Studies.
