Overview
Provides counselling and guidance to trainees/refugees with psychosocial and/or mental health needs, individually, in groups, or with families. Conducts community mental health activities and coordinates referrals to other services.
Key Responsibilities
- - Receives trainees/refugees with psychosocial and/or mental health needs and provides counselling and guidance individually, in groups or with families.
- - Provides community and public mental health TVET and other primary prevention activities.
- - Coordinates referral of identified trainees/refugees and/or their families to other services or agencies.
- - Conducts home visits and other community interventions.
- - Participates in crisis intervention and/or emergency psychosocial activities.
- - Develops weekly, monthly, and yearly plans.
- - Submits regular reports of counselling activities, workload, outcomes, case lists, and critical incidents.
Required Experience
At least two years' experience in counselling, mental health or related activities is required.
Qualifications
University degree from an accreditable institute in psychology, counselling or community mental health or related field.
