Overview
Internship opportunity within the Human Resources Section of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean, supporting recruitment, staff administration, or staff development and performance management initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support with management of ECLAC's Internship Programme.
- Provide support throughout the different stages of the recruitment process.
- Review and maintain communication channels and outreach databases.
- Organize information and documentation.
- Support the generation and update of content to enhance employer branding.
- Provide support with the preparation and distribution of monthly reports.
- Assist with the collection and analysis of data and preparation of presentations and reports.
- Support in design and conducting training workshops, seminars, or presentations.
- Provide support with other projects, as needed.
- Provide support to HR Partners with Onboarding and Separation activities.
- Provide support with review and update of Welcome Guide for new staff.
- Provide support with the administration and analysis of different surveys.
- Provide support with the preparation, delivery, and follow up of different communications.
- Update communication templates.
- Assist by preparing and delivering material for training.
- Assist in keeping record of the attendance of trainings.
- Respond to queries by phone or e-mails.
- Enter monthly training statistics.
- Support the e-learning platform.
- Verify the availability of rooms.
- Translate training material into Spanish.
- Schedule videoconferences.
- Check audio equipment.
- Install and check technology for the classes.
- Assist in exam-taking.
- Write inputs for evaluations and reports concerning training unit activities.
- Other duties as required by the HR Section.
Required Experience
Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required. Relevant training or practical experience MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint) or similar is required.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher). Applicants must be a student in the final year of a first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PH.D. Programme.
