Overview

Assists in the coordination of programme/project planning and preparation work, monitors status of proposals, and compiles, summarizes, and presents basic information/data on programmes/projects.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assists in the coordination of programme/project planning and preparation work.
  • Monitors status of programme/project proposals and receipt of relevant documentation.
  • Compiles, summarizes, and presents basic information/data on specific programmes/project and related topics or issues.
  • Reviews project documents, especially cost plans/budgets, for completeness and compliance.
  • Supports management in coordinating the division's agenda.
  • Reviews budget revisions; verifies availability of funds.
  • Serves as focal point for administrative coordination of programme/project implementation activities.
  • Compiles, summarizes and enters data on project delivery; drafts related status reports.
  • Assists with the collection and analysis of data as well as preparation of data presentations and reports.
  • Assists with visualizations and updating information material.
  • Drafts correspondence on budget-related issues and prepares and updates periodic reports.
  • Provides general office assistance; responds to complex information requests and inquiries.
  • Organizes meetings, workshops.
  • Provides guidance/training to new/junior staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
  • At least five (5) years of experience in programme or project administration, technical cooperation or related area. The minimum years of relevant experience is reduced to three (3) for candidates who possess a first-level university degree or higher.
  • At least 5 years in conferences and meetings organization and planification is required.
  • At least five (5) years of professional experience in an international development organization is desirable.
  • One (1) year or more of experience in data analytics or related area is desirable.
  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning systems such as SAP and institutional programme management platforms is desirable.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Either Arabic or French or Chinese (Mandarin) or Russian is desirable.
