Overview

Provides assistance in support of planning and implementation activities for departmental programme/project initiatives. Assists in the overall administration of the section, managing priorities and workflow.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provides assistance in support of planning and implementation activities/processes.
  • Assists in the overall administration of the section, managing priorities and workflow.
  • Organizes meetings by handling all necessary arrangements.
  • Create Grantor Programme in UMOJA as per the signed Programme Cooperation Agreement of IPs.
  • Process recruitment of consultants and update consultant management matrix.
  • Assists in the coordination of programme/project planning and preparation.
  • Assists in the preparation and analysis of programme/project budget proposals.
  • Assists in the monitoring and evaluation of programmes/projects.
  • Collaborates with programme/project managers on performance reporting.
  • Drafts programme/project summaries, coordinates review and clearance process.
  • Serves as focal point for coordination, monitoring and expedition of programme/project implementation activities.
  • Prepares, maintains and updates files and internal databases.
  • Drafts correspondence and communications related to programme/project administration.
  • Provides guidance and training to new/junior staff.
  • Assists with the collection and analysis of data as well as preparation of data presentations and reports.
  • Assists with visualizations and updating information material such as web pages or brochures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Experience

Seven years of experience in programme or project administration, technical cooperation, general office support, and administrative services, or related area is required. 1 year or more of experience in data analytics or related area is desirable. Experience working in administrative policies, processes & procedures is desirable.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
