Overview

The Governance Analyst will support the Program Manager for Board Affairs and Governance by contributing to the design, implementation, and coordination of governance-related and Board operational activities of the Fund. The role combines substantive governance and Board support, including support to Board processes, governance documentation, meeting preparation and follow-up on key actions and deliverables.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the planning and coordination of Board meetings, meetings with the Co-Chairs, Budget Committee meetings, and other Committees of the Board if so created, observer meetings, and related governance engagements, including preparation of agendas, presentations, background briefs, meeting materials and follow-up actions.
  • Provide active meeting support during governance discussions by tracking key issues, decisions, action points and emerging needs, and following up with relevant colleagues to help ensure timely delivery of required inputs and outputs.
  • Support the preparation, circulation, publication tracking, version control and filing of Board papers, Board decisions, official correspondence and other governance-related documentation.
  • Maintain document management systems for governance decisions, meeting records, mailing lists and historical records on the evolution of the Fund.
  • Compile and update governance-related tracking tools and support the maintenance of compliance, reporting and follow-up trackers related to Board processes.
  • Assist in the planning and facilitation of onboarding, orientation and capacity development sessions for Co-Chairs, Board members, outgoing Board members and advisers.
  • Draft briefing materials, speaking notes, summaries, internal memos and related materials to support the ED, DED, Co-Chairs in important engagements, as requested.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing governance documents such as operational procedures, decision templates and compliance guidelines, as needed.
  • Perform other governance-related tasks as assigned by the Executive Director or Governance Lead.
Required Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in governance, international development, climate finance, public administration, operations support, preferably within a multilateral, UN, or development institution context.
  • Exposure to or familiarity with the functioning of multilateral governance bodies (e.g., Boards, steering committees), international conference logistics or global climate frameworks and processes (e.g., UNFCCC, COP) is desirable.
  • Strong practice and knowledge of operational logistics, including travel coordination, events, IT support, data management and participant administration, within the World Bank institutional environment.
  • Knowledge of governance principles, institutional coordination and compliance frameworks, particularly in international development or climate finance.
Qualifications

Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
