Overview
The Education Officer provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for education programmes/projects. The role supports the development and formulation of the Education Programme within the Country Programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Support programme development and planning through research, analysis, and reporting.
- Manage, monitor, and deliver results for programmes, including reporting on resource use.
- Provide technical and operational support to programme implementation and government counterparts.
- Build and sustain partnerships with government counterparts and national stakeholders.
- Support innovation, knowledge management, and capacity building initiatives.
Required Experience
- A minimum of one year of professional experience in programme planning, management, and/or research in education is required.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
- Experience preparing donor or programme reports.
- Experience liaising with government counterparts.
- Experience in education-specific programming.
- Experience in the Georgian education sector or familiarity with national education reforms.
Qualifications
Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in Education, psychology, sociology, education policy, international development, public policy, development studies and any other related fields.
