Overview
The Associate Programme Officer will support the development, implementation, and evaluation of assigned programmes/projects within the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) Madagascar project presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate programme/project development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Monitor and analyze programme/project aspects.
- Conduct basic research and analyze data.
- Provide support for policy coordination and evaluation.
- Assist in consulting assignments and workshop facilitation.
- Participate in survey initiatives and data collection.
- Contribute to written outputs such as reports and studies.
- Provide administrative and substantive support for meetings.
- Undertake outreach activities and participate in training workshops.
- Participate in field missions.
- Coordinate budget funding activities and prepare related documents.
Required Experience
- A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in project/programme management, administration, or related area is required.
- Experience in designing, organizing, and delivering training courses and/or developing training materials or other tools to support national actors in the promotion of human rights is desirable.
- Experience in the promotion and protection of human rights within the United Nations or similar international organization is desirable.
- Work experience with an Enterprise Resources Planning system, such as Umoja or similar, is desirable.
Qualifications
An advanced university degree in business administration, management, economics, or a related field is required. A first-level university degree (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) in combination with two additional years of qualifying work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
