Overview

The Programme Management Officer will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of assigned programmes/projects, advising national partners and supporting planning processes.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of assigned programmes/projects.
  • Monitor and analyze programme/project development and implementation.
  • Advise and support national partners in the implementation of assigned program/projects.
  • Support the planning process.
  • Research, analyze and present information gathered from diverse sources.
  • Undertake survey initiatives; design data collection tools; review, analyze and interpret responses.
  • Prepare various written outputs, e.g. draft background papers, analysis, sections of reports and studies.
  • Provide substantive support to consultative and other meetings.
  • Support outreach activities, including fundraising; conduct training workshops, seminars.
  • Coordinate activities related to human resources, budget and funding.
  • Supervise administrative staff and perform other duties as required.
Required Experience

A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management, administration or related area is required. Out of the five years, at least two (2) years of experience managing projects in an international organization is desirable. Experience in fundraising and/or donor relations is desirable. Experience in results-based planning is desirable. Experience in monitoring and reporting on programmes, is desirable. Experience in developing or managing projects in support of law enforcement entities is desirable.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in business administration, management, economics, law or a related field. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
