Overview
Support the Ministry of Health of Mozambique in developing a comprehensive nutrition program Action Plan for the health sector. The plan will guide the implementation of high impact actions to promote nutrition and improve health throughout the life cycle, especially for vulnerable populations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop an inception report and working methodology.
- Compile evidence, including evaluation of the nutrition program, document analysis, consultations, and country's nutritional situation.
- Develop strategic lines of nutrition throughout the life cycle.
- Draft a costed action plan with targets and indicators.
- Conduct validation and finalization of the action plan.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in the development of national and international nutrition policies, strategies or action plans.
- Relevant experience in nutrition programming in the African region.
- Strong understanding of nutrition and health issues throughout the life cycle with focus on infant and young child feeding, child nutrition, school feeding, public health or related areas.
- Experience on implementation and/or monitoring nutrition interventions in the health system.
- Experience of collaboration with national and international organizations as well as with government agencies, non-governmental organizations and other stakeholders in the nutrition and health sectors.
- Experience of working with government agencies in developing countries.

• Master's Pediatrics and Child Nutrition, Maternal, Infant and Young Child Nutrition (MIYCN), School Feeding, Public Health and Nutrition.
