Overview
The assignment aims to design, operationalize, and institutionalize a climate-informed health intelligence and early warning system within the Ministry of Health to support timely, evidence-based decision-making for climate-sensitive diseases and health system resilience.
Required Experience
- A minimum of eight years of relevant professional work experience is required.
- Demonstrated expertise in climate and health intelligence, early warning systems, and decision support tools.
- Experience in designing, implementing, or managing projects related to climate and health data integration, risk assessment, or public health preparedness.
- Proven ability to provide technical advice and capacity building to government counterparts, especially in the context of health ministries or public sector agencies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
- Experience working in international or multicultural settings, preferably with exposure to the African region or similar contexts
- Ability to work collaboratively with government, UN agencies, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
An advanced university degree in public health, environmental and climate science, epidemiology, health economics
