Overview

Provides strategic leadership for the Design & Connect pillar, offering strategic direction, design leadership, and connective capacity across the Office of Innovation's work. Shapes how UNICEF engages with countries and systems on innovation through structured, design-led engagement and applied innovation governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic leadership of the Design & Connect pillar
• Intake, triage and routing of technical assistance (TA) requests
• Design leadership and advisory support
• Applied innovation governance (COMPASS)
• Innovation Ecosystem ownership (SPARK and culture)
• Connection, collaboration and knowledge enablement
• People management and representation

Required Experience

A minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience in innovation, systems change, or design-enabled programmes in complex institutional contexts (development, public sector, or related).

Qualifications

Advanced university degree (Master's or higher) in innovation, service design, UX, graphic design, social sciences, public policy or a related field.
