Overview

The HR Intern will provide support to the HR Unit of the Egypt Country Office under the supervision of the Head of Resources Management and the National Human Resources Officer.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support outreach for vacancy announcements.
  • Schedule interviews and coordinate tests.
  • Follow up on email creation for new hires.
  • Attend HR meetings and prepare minutes.
  • Compile HR content for presentations and newsletters.
  • Assist in preparing HR reports.
  • Provide logistical support for HR initiatives.
  • Assist with onboarding sessions for new staff.
  • Follow up on mandatory training completion.
  • Support HR-related events and maintain records.
  • Review HR shared folders for digital compliance.
  • Prepare and send announcements for new joiners.
  • Support absence and teleworking management.
Required Experience
  • Previous experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in administrative tasks, document management, absence management etc.
  • Exposure to event planning, training coordination, or employee engagement activities.
  • Experience working in a multicultural or international environment is an advantage.
Qualifications
  • Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme in Business Administration, Finance, Management, Accounting, or a related field (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent);
  • Be enrolled in a graduate school programme in any of the above (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);
  • Have graduated with a university degree (as mentioned above) and, if selected, must commence the internship within one year of graduation.

Remuneration
Interns are granted a small monthly stipend to help offset costs. IOM covers Interns against occupational accidents and illnesses under the Compensation Plan (CP), free of charge, for the duration of the internship.
