Overview
The National Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM) Officer will support the coordination of CCCM activities in Malawi, focusing on integrating human mobility dimensions into relevant policies and strategies, particularly for the RE2CLID programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the coordination of CCCM activities under the Shelter/CCCM Cluster.
- Monitor service provision and site conditions to identify needs.
- Participate in identifying, analysing, and prioritising site needs.
- Carry out service mapping and monitoring of sites.
- Conduct site safety audits.
- Facilitate mobilization, training, and equipping of displaced communities.
- Monitor and document site maintenance and risk reduction works.
- Account for and ensure maintenance of equipment, supplies, and facilities.
- Assist in compilation of timely and comprehensive reports.
Required Experience
- Minimum two years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience working with Internally Displaced Persons or refugees and host communities, particularly women’s or minority groups and/or on protection programming.
- Experience conducting training and supervisory exercises.
- Experience liaising with government authorities and other stakeholders.
- Must be available to travel displacement affected communities in Malawi on a regular basis.
Qualifications
• University degree in social sciences, business administration or development studies.
