Overview
Provide tailored technical assistance and substantive support to project implementation in Zambia, focusing on infrastructure asset management (IAM) to strengthen local and national governments' capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and co-implement an online awareness-raising workshop on infrastructure asset management.
- Liaise with national authorities to confirm participating local governments and develop an implementation schedule.
- Conduct diagnostic and training missions to local governments, applying the UN IAM diagnostic tool.
- Analyze findings and prepare customized Asset Management Profiles for each local government.
- Provide substantive input to the preparation of training content for an in-person AMAP workshop.
- Co-facilitate the in-person workshop, contextualizing IAM principles with local examples.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in infrastructure, infrastructure asset management (IAM), or urban development.
- Demonstrated expertise in areas such as asset inventories, lifecycle planning, service delivery, public sector investment planning, or institutional capacity development.
- Knowledge of Zambian public sector and infrastructure systems is required.
Qualifications
• Advanced degree in engineering, business, project management, public administration, urban planning, economics, or related field is required.
