Overview

The National Project Engineer Analyst will be responsible for on-site planning, technical supervision, quality control, and daily coordination of civil, structural, and construction-related activities for FAO projects in Yemen. The role ensures compliance with designs, standards, and donor requirements, acting as primary technical support at project sites for timely, safe, and cost-effective infrastructure delivery.


Key Responsibilities
  • Follow up on-site work activities, review, and endorse workers' attendance sheets
  • Process Inspection Requests and maintain records of their status
  • Check and inspect all activities of work & material, and provide technical support
  • Coordinate with the contractor’s project manager and staff on a daily basis
  • Ensure construction works are performed in accordance with drawings and specifications
  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and project closure reports
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure construction and site safety
  • Review contractor's payment applications, check quantities, and sign payment applications
  • Prepare/confirm BoQs, outlining necessary tools and materials, and prepare site implementation work plans and construction material delivery plans
  • Assess the standards of delivered materials in terms of quantity and quality
  • Ensure all activities are carried out according to plans, designs, and drawings
  • Make sure that works timely progress to meet agreed deadlines
  • Ensure the application of Health, Safety and Environmental standards
  • Visit project sites to assess existing structures and identify rehabilitation needs
  • Prepare a detailed scope of work describing the current situation and rehabilitation needs
  • Develop architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing drawings in 2D and 3D using Engineering software such as AutoCAD and Revit
  • Prepare detailed bill of quantities (BOQ)
  • Conduct market analysis and provide cost estimates of construction work
  • Conduct stakeholder and community consultations
Required Experience

Minimum of five years of relevant professional experience in construction supervision, site engineering, or field implementation, including building construction, rehabilitation works, or infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
