Overview
The Programme Support Officer will contribute to programme/project development and design, document project opportunities, and draft project reports for IOM Burundi Country Office.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and coordinate project development activities by providing technical inputs and drafting proposal sections.
- Provide technical inputs for programme managers in preparing periodic reports to donors.
- Draft internal progress implementation analyses and contribute to programme monitoring.
- Organize the collection, processing, analysis, and documentation of project data for reporting.
- Maintain internal liaison and administrative support with other units.
- Support the preparation of presentations and other materials for meetings.
- Undertake site travels and duty travels as required.
- Assist in building project development and management capacity of mission staff.
Required Experience
- Two years of relevant professional experience with a Master's degree; or four years of relevant professional experience with a University degree.
- Experience in supporting project development and management, reporting, and communications.
- Experience in the coordination, implementation, analysis and evaluation of humanitarian, development, and/or migration management programmes.
- Experience in supporting programme management, including budget planning and monitoring and evaluation.
- Experience in liaising with governmental authorities and other national/international institutions.
Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, Law, International Relations or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or University degree in the above fields.
