Overview
The National Resources Management Officer will supervise and manage budgetary, financial, supply chain, and administrative functions for the Country Office and Sub-Office(s). The role provides support in these areas to staff members.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the monitoring and overseeing of financial management for all activities in the Country Office.
- Facilitate the management of the treasury by forecasting cash flows.
- Prepare relevant financial reviews of projects by overseeing the budget control process.
- Assist with the annual budget preparation for the Country Office.
- Support the maintenance and strengthening of appropriate internal controls.
- Review payroll versus budgets and validate salary and office costs allocations.
- Supervise and provide guidance in the preparation and endorsement of project and donor financial reports.
- Participate in reviewing existing systems and procedures and recommend improvements.
- Support the coordination of Supply Chain services.
- Participate in UN meetings when required.
Required Experience
- Two years of relevant professional experience with a Master's degree; or, four years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor's degree.
- Experience in all areas of financial administration including financial management, accounting and budgeting.
- Experience in procurement and logistics and related systems processes.
- Experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning system.
- Experience in emergency operations an advantage.
- Experience in monitoring and evaluation and / or audit an advantage.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Management or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or, Bachelor’s degree in the above fields.
- Professional certification as Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is an advantage.
