Overview

The Registration Assistant will be responsible for registration activities through the IOM helpline and act as intake within the service flow, providing basic information on services available in Tunisia.


Key Responsibilities
  • Answer helpline calls and provide basic information on services available in Tunisia.
  • Ensure organized registration activities upon call from migrants as per SOPs and standardized data collection system.
  • Refer beneficiaries for further assessment by the relevant case worker.
  • Refer eligible beneficiaries for relevant services or to external service providers.
  • Follow-up on communication with beneficiaries, including providing updates and setting up appointments.
  • Support the implementation of effective unit’s outreach activities.
  • Keep record of calls and update the helpline database.
  • Assist in distribution of NFIs to vulnerable migrants.
Required Experience
  • One year of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Science, Business Administration, International Relations and/or Law.
  • Minimum three years of relevant professional experience with a High School Degree in the above fields.
  • Experience working directly with vulnerable migrants, including individuals in distress.
  • Experience compiling and reporting beneficiary data.
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office, ODK/KOBO, basic database knowledge required).
  • Experience working with Excel and databases.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited academic institution in Political or Social Science, Business Administration, International Relations and/or Law; or
  • High School Degree in the above fields.

Languages Required
Fluency in French and English is required (oral and written).
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of IOM’s Mimosa system is an advantage.
