Overview
The Senior Finance Associate will support and monitor the financial, accounting, budgeting, and administrative functions of the Country Office.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide procedural guidance and technical support to finance staff.
- Prepare annual budget submissions and revisions.
- Coordinate monthly accounts closure and monitor compliance.
- Conduct quality control checks and monitor outstanding payables.
- Manage financial resources by monitoring project funds and expenditures.
- Provide financial information for decision making.
- Support the PULSE Planner with data accuracy.
- Ensure accounting transactions comply with financial policies.
- Provide on-the-job training on financial processes and systems.
- Assist in responding to audit queries and follow up on recommendations.
- Prepare budget, accounting, financial, and statistical reports.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree with four years of relevant professional experience; or High school diploma with six years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in financial administration including accounting and budgeting.
- Experience in using an Enterprise Resource Planning system.
- Experience in supporting accounts closure, donor reporting and analyzing complex accounting transactions.
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field from an accredited academic institution.
- High school diploma.
