Overview
The Programme Analyst: GBV/IMS plays a critical role in strengthening the quality, accessibility, and utility of data related to Gender-Based Violence (GBV) programming within the UNFPA Country Office. S/he is the technical focal point for the effective operation, management, and security of the GBV Information Management System (IMS).
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Country Office technical expert and administrator for the GBV IMS, including user management, system maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure strict adherence to the global GBVIMS/GBVIMS+ principles throughout the data collection, storage, analysis, and sharing process.
- Lead the routine collection, compilation, cleaning, and processing of GBV programme data and case management statistics.
- Design and maintain data dashboards, visualizations, and maps.
- Support the M&E Specialist and GBV Programme team in monitoring the progress of GBV interventions.
- Conduct regular data quality assessments (DQAs) for GBV programme data.
- Contribute to the preparation of timely and high-quality internal and external reports.
- Assist in the preparation of background documents, briefs, and statistical reports.
- Develop and deliver training sessions and user manuals for implementing partners and UNFPA staff.
- Provide continuous technical support and mentoring to partner staff.
- Support the GBV team in strengthening M&E components during the design phase of new GBV projects.
- Actively participate in relevant technical working groups.
- Support the documentation of best practices, lessons learned, and case studies.
- Maintain a knowledge repository of all GBV monitoring tools, reports, and relevant data collection forms.
Required Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of increasingly responsible professional experience in programme management, monitoring, and/or information management, preferably in the context of humanitarian or development programming.
- Proven experience in managing databases, information management systems (e.g., GBVIMS, DHIS2, or similar platforms), and data visualization tools.
- Demonstrated experience in data analysis, reporting, and conducting data quality assessments.
- Knowledge of humanitarian principles and experience in the field of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) or Women's Protection/Empowerment is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with UN operational procedures and reporting requirements is an asset.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Information Technology, Statistics, Demography, Public Health, Social Sciences, or another related field.
