Overview

To provide technical and operational support for the implementation, coordination, monitoring, and documentation of new vaccine introduction and expansion activities in the Philippines.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development, updating, and implementation of national plans and operational guidelines.
  • Support the development, review, and quality assurance of technical training materials, operational guidance documents, monitoring tools, communication materials, and implementation packages.
  • Coordinate and liaise with DOH program managers, regional offices, partners, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Support the planning, capacity building, implementation, and monitoring of HPV vaccination expansion activities and preparatory work for future vaccine introductions.
  • Provide implementation support on AEFI preparedness and training, and the review, synthesis, and documentation of relevant evidence.
  • Support readiness assessments, implementation monitoring, supportive supervision, and field monitoring activities.
  • Support the planning and implementation of post-introduction evaluations (PIE), assessment activities, and documentation of lessons learned and best practices.
  • Assist in monitoring program implementation progress, identifying operational bottlenecks, and proposing corrective actions.
  • Prepare technical reports, meeting summaries, presentations, briefing materials, donor/partner updates, and other program documentation.
  • Participate in technical working groups, coordination meetings, and consultations.
Required Experience
  • Minimum five years of relevant experience in immunization programs, vaccine-preventable diseases, public health, or health systems strengthening at national and international level.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting new vaccine introduction, vaccine expansion, or large-scale immunization activities, preferably at national or subnational level.
  • Experience working with government counterparts, development partners, and international organizations.
  • Experience in the development of technical guidance, training materials, implementation plans, and program monitoring tools.
  • Desirable: Experience supporting field implementation, monitoring, and evaluation activities, including PIE or similar assessments.
Qualifications
  • University degree in medicine, public health, epidemiology, health systems, immunization, or related field.
  • Desirable: Postgraduate training in medicine, public health, epidemiology, health systems, immunization, or related field.
