Overview
Provide technical support and cooperation to the WHO Pemba Sub-Office, WHO Health Emergency, and Ministry of Health towards planning and implementation of construction works in CTCS and other medical clinics, and logistical process implementation and management of medical and non-medical items.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the functionality and daily operations of the WHO Warehouse, as of transportation of goods.
- Assess the level of functionality of the targeted health facilities (CTCs) by WHO operation response interventions.
- Develop plan for the construction and maintenance of targeted health facilities.
- Work with WHO procurement officers in ensuring the availability of all materials and equipment for the construction of CTCs or other health facilities.
- Mobilize the required human resources and daily workers for loading and unloading of cargo, the construction of the CTCs and other health clinics.
- Ensure WHO quality standards in the construction of the CTCs and other targeted health clinics.
- Conduct any other tasks/assignment authorized by WHE cluster and WR.
Required Experience
- Essential: At least 5 years’ experience in planning, building and maintaining health care facilities.
- Desirable: Working experience with WHO or international NGO experience in health emergencies would be an asset.
Qualifications
- Essential: Degree or professional trainings in logistics, construction.
- Desirable: Additional professional trainings in logistics with the focus on building and maintenance of health care facilities.
