Overview
Support UNICEF Mozambique's Child Protection team in developing accessible, engaging, and field-adapted Child Protection in Emergencies (CPiE) materials through graphic design and visual communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Review existing CPiE training materials, facilitator guides and operational tools.
- Support the visual redesign and layout of the national CPiE ToT package.
- Develop visually engaging and easy-to-use materials tailored for emergency and low-resource settings.
- Propose visual concepts, templates and formatting approaches.
- Create or redesign materials including facilitator guides, presentations, handouts, pamphlets, exercises, templates, cards, infographics, icons, illustrations, posters, and quick-reference tools.
- Ensure all materials are accessible, practical and adapted for field use.
- Incorporate feedback from technical teams and support revisions.
- Ensure final products comply with UNICEF corporate branding and communication standards.
- Provide editable source files.
Required Experience
- Demonstrated experience in graphic design and visual communication.
- Strong portfolio showcasing layout design, educational/training materials, infographics and visual storytelling.
- Experience designing materials for facilitators, adolescents, youth or community engagement processes.
- Experience working with humanitarian, Child Protection, education or social service programmes is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with low-literacy and field-adapted communication approaches is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, PowerPoint or equivalent.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to incorporate technical feedback and work within tight timelines.
